Event Entry Form

The Races: Will be conducted under the Rules & Regulations of the Irish Dragon Boat Association (IDBA) & any which are published in this Entry Form. An information pack will be forwarded to the Team Manager prior to the event detailing all the necessary information.

Entries: Will be accepted on a ‘first come, first served basis’ & are only accepted on receipt of full payment. No refund will be given once an entry has been accepted & there is no refund if the regatta has to be cancelled due to conditions outside the control of the IDBA.

Entry Fee: Members & Overseas Teams: €450.00/Team/Day (Adults) & €275.00/Team/Day (Under18s).

Non-member Teams :€550.00/Team/Day (Adults) & €300.00/Team/Day (Under18s). 

Ability to Swim: All team members must be able to swim.

Minimum Age: The minimum age of any participant is 8 years.

Safety: Safety of a dragon boat crew whilst on the water is the prime concern of everyone associated with the event. All competitors will be required to wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) and conduct themselves sensibly. All individually owned PFDs must be in a good condition and comply with ISO 12402-5. The use of canister operated PFDs are not allowed at our events.

All competitors are to attend the safety briefing before being allowed on the water. The consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs is strictly forbidden.

All Crews: We agree with the Entry Conditions above & enter the dragon boat team named for the event shown. As Team Manager, I certify that there are no non-swimmers in my crew & hereby release the IDBA, its officials & volunteers from any liability for accident, injury or loss through our participation in this event. We compete entirely at our own risk. I understand that I should advise my team to seek medical advice from their general practitioner if they are in any doubt as to their physical ability to take part in the event. I hereby give permission for photographs of the regatta to be taken which may be used for publicity purposes & I understand that the IDBA will hold & use the data provided by me for administration purposes to keep me informed of other events.
